Becky Slater

Becky came to the attention of the police a couple of years ago when she was causing low level anti-social behaviour but since then she has turned things around completely. She was encouraged to join the team at Raceway Karting, Pontefract where she has developed and gone from strength to strength. Becky is now Team Captain and one of the best drivers. She is passionate and supportive of other members and offers advice to help them improve. She is a role model of her generation.

Isaac O'Connor

Isaac O'Connor

Isaac is a dedicated young man who has attended Rycroft Youth Club for around eight years. He regularly offers peer support to younger members of the group. Isaac organises different activities for the youth club after consulting with members to find out what they would enjoy doing. He has recently carried out research about mental health within the local community and plans to do some work around this with the group. He is a valuable member of the group and well respected by youth workers and his peers.

Ethan Clark

Ethan Clark

Ethan from Wakefield was a shy and quiet boy when he first began attending a group in Portobello. However once he joined the young person’s steering group he has grown in confidence. He now volunteers at the junior youth club and supports the young members with activities including sports and arts and crafts. He also provides help and support to wider community events as well as the youth club. Ethan is a positive role model for young people in the area.
